The Kentucky Department of Highways (KDOH) is planning to construct a frontage road parallel to I-75 between Exit 41 and Exit 38 in London, KY. The entire right-of-way for this road is in the LUC service area and will impact both water and sewer mains and services.
The relocation of this water and sewer infrastructure in an urban setting can be very complex and challenging. Close coordinating and planning will be required with KDOH and LUC and betterment improvements will be made in some areas. Once completed, LUC will have both water and sewer access to potential new developments along the frontage road as well as a greater service capacity to its largest water user, Flav-O-Rich Dairy.
